Demo Abstract: Introducing the MagoNode Platform
نویسندگان
چکیده
The purpose of this demo is to introduce a new low-power wireless device for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) operating in the ISM 2.4Ghz band: the MagoNode. Thanks to a highly efficient RF front-end, that extends the radio range and increases link reliability, the MagoNode features outstanding RF performance, still containing energy consumption. The platform has been designed at the Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering Antonio Ruberti of the University of Rome La Sapienza in collaboration with the spin-off WSense [1].

RoboRun: A gamification approach to control flow learning for young students with TouchDevelop
This demo paper introduces young students to writing code in a touch enabled interactive maze game. Problem-based learning is given a gamified approach to learning, while simultaneously introducing the TouchDevelop [1] platform to build basic first control flow algorithms and to learn about ordering and loops in conditional statements.

The demo illustrates the capabilities of the CONET Testbed Federation (COTEFE), focusing on the support for testbed-independent specification and execution of experiments. It leverages a prototypical implementation of the platform and its two core programming interfaces that follow the REST architectural style. The Testbed Abstraction API, that exposes the services of the individual testbeds th...
متن کاملDemo Abstract: Energy Management as a Service over Fog Computing Platform
Cyber-Physical Energy System (CPES) has been seen as the new paradigm of tight integration of power systems, embedded systems, control, and communication. CPES is capable of improving power grid reliability, efficiency, and performance by managing the supply and demand functionalities of the power systems effectively and intelligently. In this demo, we present an energy management system protot...
متن کاملDemo Abstract: Run-time Compilation of Bytecode in Wireless Sensor Networks
Recent work on virtual machines for wireless sensor networks has demonstrated the benefits of using a Java programming paradigm for resource constrained sensor networks. Results have shown that a virtual machine approach greatly suffers from interpretation overheads. We present run-time compilation of bytecode which leverages from a compact platform independent bytecode application encoding as ...
